Looking for Elementor templates? Check WPEssentials free and premium templates designed and developed for business owners, bloggers, designers, developers, and freelancers.

If you’re looking for the best WordPress page builder for your website, you’re at the right place.

Over the years, I have spend a lot of time in learning and using page builders to build websites for businesses in different industries…

…and so to help you save the time, in this post, I will share with you the best page builder you can use to build your WordPress website.

Let’s get started…

Elementor

Launched in 2016, Elementor has managed to attract a user base of over 4M professionals, which is impressive compared to how young this page builder is.

Elementor wordpress page builders

The best thing about Elementor is that it’s available for free as well — with limited features but enough for basic sites — so you can try it before you purchase the Elementor pro version.

Once you start using Elementor, you’ll find a very intuitive and thoughtfully designed editor which is very easy to use.

All the aspects of this WordPress page builder are engineered to help the non-technical users build their websites, and at the same time, users such as designers and developers can also use it to build advanced sites.

Elementor also has a Theme Builder, which I think is the best as with the Theme Builder, you will get full control of your website looks and behavior.

You don’t have to write even a single line of code to change elements like header, footer, sidebar, widgets, category pages, and more!

You’ll also like the template library of Elementor, which consists of over 300 beautifully designed templates and full website kits.

Elementor template library

You can also check my post where I have collected over 50 amazing examples of Elementor websites for inspiration.

Here’s why you should use Elementor…

  • Complete visual drag & drop builder with the fastest editor.
  • Fully customizable layouts — default mode, full-width template, and canvas layout.
  • Includes WooCommerce Builder to customize the online store without the need for coding.
  • Includes a Popup Builder to create pixel-perfect popups with advanced targeting options.
  • You don’t need extra plugins for landing pages, coming soon or maintenance pages.
  • One of the few page builders who produce clean code even after deactivating the plugin.
  • Supports multilingual options and add-ons to extend the content widgets.

Elementor Pricing: Free core version. Elementor pro starts at $49 for the single-site license.

Divi Builder

Divi, by Elegant Themes, is one of the most popular WordPress page builder — trusted by over 600,000+ web design professionals and business owners.

Divi Builder

While Elegant Themes initially launched the Divi builder integrated into the Divi theme only, with the release of standalone page builder, Divi has become the first choice of many website owners.

You can use Divi builder with any theme, and unlike Elementor and other page builders, Divi gives both front-end and back-end editing options, so if you prefer backend editing, Divi should be a no-brainer for you.

As for the features, Divi is a page builder with endless possibilities … especially with the recently launched theme builder with which you can customize all the parts of your theme directly from the page builder only.

You’ll also find a unique wireframe mode in the front-end editor, which displays the overview of the page and makes it easy to modify the content modules.

Here’s why you should use Divi Builder…

  • Full visual drag & drop builder with real-time updates.
  • Responsive editing to build layouts for different screen sizes.
  • Over 40 content modules such as headings, CTAs, sliders, forms, galleries, testimonials, and more!
  • More than 800 pre-made professionally designed website layouts available at no extra cost.
  • Complete design control — hover state styling, font & text styling, shape dividers, border options, code editing, filters, and drop shadows.
Divi Pricing: Divi starts at $89/year for a yearly plan and $249 one-time payment for the lifetime access plan.

Beaver Builder

Trusted by over 1M websites, Beaver Builder is an excellent option for those looking for a reliable and straightforward WordPress page builder.

Beaver Builder wordpress page builder

Beaver Builder is a full front-end drag & drop page builder which gives the power to build fully responsive pages without writing a single line of code.

Though, I am not a fan of Beaver Builder pre-made templates as they are very limited in number and nowhere near the designs of Elementor and Divi builder — still Beaver Builder templates are enough to get started quickly.

Along with the builder, the Beaver Builder team has also developed a WordPress framework theme, which is designed to work primarily with pages builders only. The theme is lightweight, SEO optimized and gives the much-needed flexibility in the websites.

If you’re a complete beginner, you’ll like the simplicity of this page builder.

Here’s why you should use Beaver Builder…

  • The page builder works with almost all the WordPress themes — free or paid.
  • Import and export option to save and share the layouts, or migrate the site easily.
  • WooCommerce support to create and customize the online store.
  • Includes Schema.org markup and code compression to ensure the perfect SEO for the websites.
  • Multisite capable with a custom network-wide control panel to make changes across all the sites.
  • White labeling option in the Agency plan for freelancers and agencies.

Beaver Builder Pricing: Free core version. Paid plans start at $99 for the Standard plan and $199 for the Pro plan.

Oxygen Page Builder

Oxygen, built by Soflyy, is a very robust page builder for WordPress. It’s relatively new compared to the above-mentioned page builders; still, Oxygen made to the recommended section of my list.

Oxygen Builder

Personally, I really like Oxygen, and I have used it on a few projects now, but this page builder is different from others and comes with a steep learning curve.

I will not recommend Oxygen to you if you’re a complete beginner — but if you have experience with WordPress and you’re looking for an advanced page builder, then Oxygen is the solution for you.

Oxygen Builder Editor

The best thing about Oxygen is that the code output by this page builder is the cleanest compared to all others. With the clean and bloat-free code of Oxygen, you can easily achieve excellent performance for your website — both in terms of speed and SEO.

Here’s why you should use Beaver Builder…

  • Responsive control to hide/show elements, customize layouts, spacings, and colors — all based on the user device.
  • Allows custom fonts (from Google, Adobe) and custom icon sets (in SVG format).
  • Includes the option to add any custom code — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Full WooCommerce store builder to build shop pages, individual products, cart, checkout page, and more!
  • Oxygen has the ability to create popups and integrates well with ACF.

Oxygen Page Builder Pricing: Starts at $99 one-time payment with unlimited lifetime updates and support.

Thrive Architect

Thrive Architect is a WordPress page builder built by Thrive Themes for conversion-focused websites.

I have used it in the past for a few affiliate projects, and the results were good.

Though I am a fan of minimalism now and I don’t like the UI of Thrive Architect, it’s still a good option for bloggers or business owners who want a simple but advanced page builder for their WordPress websites.

Thrive Architect

Thrive Architect comes with hundreds of pre-built conversion-focused elements and landing pages, which you can use instantly.

Some of the conversion-focused building blocks are — CTAs, testimonials, credit card icons, lead generation forms, countdown timers, and more.

You can find these modules in other editors as well, but most of the time, these are available as addons only, so with Thrive Architect, you get all of these built-in in the editor.

Other than that, Thrive Architect includes ultra-flexible column layouts, font customizations, full-width layouts, and other styling options.

Thrive Architect Pricing: You can either go with the Thrive Membership, which costs $19/month and includes all Thrive plugins and themes, or you can pick the Thrive single-site license pack at $67 with unlimited free updates and a year of support.

Themify Builder

Themify Builder is designed by Themify and comes pre-installed with all Themify themes.

The builder is based on a modular approach for better performance and is packed with powerful features such as layout parts, rows and column structure, custom styling, and fully responsive editing.

Themify Builder

Similar to Divi, Themify has also included a Backend editor, which you can use to move the modules quickly or just to get an overview of the page.

Themify Builder Editor

There’s a cache system built-in in the editor, which reduces the server load and increases the performance of the pages.

The pre-made template library is impressive and includes 40+ professionally designed pages that you can reuse for all your pages.

Templates by Themify Builder

Overall, the builder looks nice, but I would not recommend this to you unless you’re using or going to use a Themify theme.

Themify Builder Pricing: Free version available. The Pro version costs $69 and $39 only for the Builder addons.

SiteOrigin Page Builder

This is a simple WordPress page builder by SiteOrigin — company which builds both themes and plugins and has garnered over 2.5M installs till now.

The SiteOrigin builder works with any theme, and you can use the drag & drop page builder to build custom responsive layouts.

The page builder is lightweight, SEO friendly, and offers a library of pre-built designs that you can use to import the templates and edit them accordingly.

There’s also a live editing option — similar to WordPress customizer — which shows all the design modifications in real-time. You can even add new rows to existing pages, and SiteOrigin takes care of the integration.

I like this page builder and recommend it to anyone looking for a simple yet powerful page builder for WordPress websites.

SiteOrigin Page Builder Pricing: The core plugin is available for free in the WordPress repository, and to upgrade; you can purchase the addons for as low as $29.

Visual Composer

Visual Composer is a famous website builder as it comes bundled with almost all the WordPress themes available on the Themeforest marketplace.

This is a drag & drop website builder, which gives you the freedom to build any layout you want.

There are over 100 unique content elements available, ranging from headings, images, buttons, to advanced slideshows, tabs, and WooCommerce elements.

Similar to Elementor, Visual Composer has a theme builder and a popup builder.

With the theme builder, you can create a layout for all the pages of your website (including the category and archive pages). The builder even has a maintenance mode that you can activate instantly and avoid the use of a separate plugin.

The popup builder is a nice addition to the package. With this, you don’t need a separate plugin for popups, and you can use the Visual Composer built-in popup editor to create conversion-focused popups.

Their library of templates is huge, and to help the users, they have categorized the templates based on different industries, which I think is very useful. Header, footer, and sidebar templates are also included in the library.

Finally, the builder supports many third-party integrations such as WP Forms, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, MailChimp, Vimeo, Unsplash, and all the social media networks … so features for which other page builders need addons, with Visual Composer, everything is baked right into the builder.

Visual Composer Pricing: Free core version. For the premium version, a single site license costs $59/year, and developers license for 1,000 websites costs $349/year.

Live Composer

This is another decent front end drag & drop WordPress page builder that lets you build any type of layout you want.

It comes with 30+ content modules and multiple styling options so you can build the pages without writing a single line of code.

There’s a premium extension pack available which you can use to add other features like contact forms, preloader, breadcrumbs, ACF support, mega menu, etc.

For WooCommerce, a separate extension is available, which adds the ability to create custom product page designs, product listings, and checkout page customizations.

As the page builder is built on an open-source framework, you can even use it to build WordPress themes and sell them directly to your clients or on theme marketplaces. This is a great option for freelancers and agencies.

I would recommend Live Composer to anyone looking for a free, simple, and robust page builder plugin for WordPress.

Live Composer Pricing: Free core version. The extension pack starts at $49 for 1 site.

Brizy

Launched by ThemeFuse in 2018, Brizy is a new page builder designed for ease-of-use.

This is a full drag & drop builder built on latest technologies (React, and JavaScript) and includes many of the premium elements in the free version such as forms, sliders, tabs, and global blocks.

In the editor, Brizy lets you style most of the things inline, so you don’t have to go back and forth in the sidebar like in many other page builders. I really like the simple and intuitive interface of this page builder.

In the Pro version, you can edit the headers and footers with full design flexibility and use dynamic content to edit pages like Archives, posts/pages template, search results, and more!

Many marketing integrations are also supported, such as Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, Sendinblue, ConvertKit, and HubSpot — which is useful as you don’t have to install a separate plugin every time you need to add a feature to your website.

Lastly, the template library of Brizy is impressive and includes hundreds of layouts for business, education, personal, and portfolio websites. You can use the individual blocks as well to design unique pages.

Brizy is the page builder for you if you’re looking for an alternative of Elementor or Divi builder.

Brizy Pricing: Free core version. The personal plan starts at $49/year for 3 sites and $299 one-time payment for unlimited sites, lifetime updates, and support.

MotoPress Content Editor

MotoPress content editor is a nice page builder with full front end editing, WordPress multisite capability, and multilingual interface.

The page builder is capable of building responsive layouts and works with all popular themes. MotoPress has its own theme collection as well, which is designed to complement the content editor.

Some of the content elements of MotoPress are text, image, slider, grid gallery, button, social buttons, and accordions.

Many add-ons are available with the content editor for features like Google Maps, pricing tables, contact forms, etc. — but the individual add-ons cost $19 so if you’re going to buy any of their addons, it’s better to go with the Personal Bundle plan.

I’ll not say that this is the best WordPress page builder out there, but it’s okay, especially for MotoPress theme users and for others looking for a simple page builder solution.

MotoPress Pricing: Personal plan starts at $29 for one website, and Personal Bundle plan with all premium addons costs $69 for 1 site.
